Show Notes
‘Allo, what’s all this then? It’s FPP in the UK! Darren Riley, avid FPP listener and head of Pancho Ballard and the Banditos, organized a meetup for FPP listeners that featured a day trip around London.
Meet the whole gang as we interview:
7-camera phenom Filip Bunkens,
FPP Super-friend “Donker” Dave,
Master of the Olympus Trip 35 Ian Cook,
King Crimson acolyte Thom Stone,
Recent Polaroid camera winner Nick Shields,
8×10 photographer (but not really) Jeremy North,
and many, MANY more… FPP interviewed a lot of people, so it’s a podcast chock full of getting to know your fellow listeners!
Follow the gang as they visit not one, but two Lomography stores! The gang starts in Lomography SoHo, and ends up in Lomography East London where they tour the Lomo Lab! Meet the lovely Lomography ladies Linda and Leanna and learn how they’re raising the bar in the UK, including the Lomography School!
We also get the scoop on a pair of new cameras from Lomography! First, the deluxe original creation, the LC-Wide wide-angle cousin of the famed LC-A+. It features a 17mm glass lens for extra-wide shots and super-close focusing, multiple exposure capability, and metering and flash!
Watch the stop-motion video, shot on the LC-Wide, that Lomography UK put together here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbpr0YoW35k
Not only did Lomography introduce the LC-Wide, but there’s an economy camera too! The La Sardina line of cameras features similar wide angles (21mm), along with the plastic lenses you love of toy cameras. Not only that, but there are four unique models to choose from!
Mike gives us the scoop on the heads of the Lomography society, “The Two Guys.”
Say, how do you like that new page? Poke around the new Film Photography Project homepage (http://filmphotographyproject.com/) and let us know what you think! We think it’s going to prove to be a great new site, and it was all made possible by our friends Michael Calleia, Gareth Alexander, and Paige Davis.
Listen in for results of the fantastic Giveaways we’ve been holding, including film processing by The Darkroom (http://thedarkroom.com/), the Nikon F (donated by FPP friend Alex Luyckx) and a number of Polaroid Pack-Tastic winners!
