Do you have a functional film camera, film camera package or film stock you no longer use?
Your financial and / or product support ensures we can continue our regular programming and allows us to acquire the parts, film and related items for our continued giveaways and workshop programs.
Consider donating it to the The Film Photography Podcast. We will ensure your camera or film will find a great new home via our school donation program and film photography podcast.
What can I donate?
Functional film cameras, film camera packages or film stock you no longer use are perfect, as are miscellaneous gear such as lenses, camera bags and camera accessories. Cash donations are also appreciated, they help to offset the costs of operations, shipping and handling. We do not accept darkroom enlargers.

What do you do with donated gear?
These cameras are refurbished and circulated to school and student programs in the US at no cost to those organizations. The cameras are also provided to film shooters via the FPP’s radio show and at the FPP’s Walking Workshops. In the past FPP supplied hundreds of rolls of film and cameras to non-profit groups and schools. In order to qualify as a recipient of our program, an educator must fill out a detailed form showing they represent an accredited school or not for profit educational organization, as well as provide us a “wish list” of the number of cameras and equipment their students will require. Once qualified we add them to the queue, testing and refurbishing the cameras and gear before mailing them. The requests we receive are typically from educators at schools that lack budgets for the arts. A small portion of gear is sold to our podcast listeners via our website in order to keep FPP funded and to help compensate for shipping costs to schools.
Note that we do not send e-mail confirmations as to when your donation arrives. Packages are received, placed on a pallet and held in receiving until our volunteers arrive and organize. While we won’t be able to personally acknowledge the receipt of your box, rest assured your donation will get the attention it deserves. If your donation belonged to a loved one, please feel free to enclose a note about the person who used the gear. We’d be happy to make a dedication on our podcast.
Is my donation deductible?
Although we operate very much like a not-for-profit organization, we are not a registered NJ 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Due to our super small volunteer staff we do not send receipts. Rest assured, your donated gear will be put in the hands of film photography students of all ages! In advance, we thank you.
