Notes by Michael Raso
Hi fellow film shooters! Welcome to our latest news and newest podcast (FPP episode 154 – Nov 15, 2016)
It’s been a GREAT year of shooting film. Thanks for all the e-mails, donations and kind words. This year the FPP donated over 200 cameras to schools in need of gear! In our latest blog, Leslie recounts her day delivering donation cameras to the students of Pickerington High School!
In today’s podcast episode I’m joined by Mat Marrash, Leslie Lazenby and Mark O’Brien.
WHAT’S HOT…WHAT’S NOT – First up, Mat discusses what’s hot…what’s not in vintage film gear. Mat’s day job is at Mid-West Photo Exchange so he has his finger on the pulse every day! Tune in to hear the list.
FPP 35mm BW INFRARED FILM – Leslie and Mark lead a conversation about the BW and color infrared film available exclusively in the FPP On-Line Store. Leslie has tested both films and offers lots of info on how to shoot these unique film. In celebration, both FPP BW IR film and FPP Color IR film are on sale til 12/1/2016 in the FPP on-line store!
KODAK DEKTOL – MAKE PRINTS AT HOME! Leslie chats about her experience using Kodak Dektol paper developer. The wonderful thing is you don’t need a full darkroom! You can make contact prints at home using a standard light bulb. Listen in for more details.
HOW TO STORE YOUR NEGS? Mat and the rest of the gang discuss methods of storing and archiving your film negs. The FPP On-Line Store sells negative preservers in the store which is a great starting point. Leslie and Mark continue offering tips on what type of boxes to use for long term shelf storage. Tune in for more details!
NEW FILM FOR YOUR VINTAGE POLAROID CAMERA! The entire gang and I hear outside the studio to shoot packs of Impossible Project Gen 3 film – courtesy of The Impossible Project! We’re so stoked to be shooting instant film that the FPP On-Line Store is selling packs of film for the unbelievable price of $20.99/pack! Stock up!
