Film Photography Podcast Episode 51 – December 22, 2011
– SHOW NOTES

Infrared Film, Lomo LCA, Olympus Camedia Camera Revisitied, Polaroid Tinkering and much more! Hosted by Michael Raso  with wrecking crew John Fedele and Dane Johnson!

above: Dane tests out the Polaroid Colorpack II instant film camera as John and Michael sing-it-up! Join Michael Raso, John Fedele and Dane Johnson in the year-end Film Photography Podcast! Michael reminisces about shooting the Christmas-themed music video (with John) “Lookin’ for Santa” way back in the Christmas of 1988. The song was written and performed by the east coast band The Hungry Dutchmen.

FPP listener Diane Fischer (winner of a Polaroid Pack Camera) donates a damaged LOMO LCA camera so that Dane can tinker and (hopefully) fix.

4×5 large format film holders discussed as Michael unearths a box of film goodies from Leslie at Imagine That in Findlay Ohio.

Mat calls in to discuss Infrared Film with John. Mat contributes a FPP Minute about Black and White Photo Paper.

Next up, Michael gives away Polaroid 500 film and cameras (The JoyCam!). The cameras were donated by both Michael and FPP regular-listener Randy Babajtis. The Polaroid 500 format was introduced in 1993 and never caught the imagination (or sales) of the picture-taking public.

Below: Dane modifies a Polaroid film pack so that it is powered by a 9-volt battery. This allows you to shoot film with dead battery packs.

Michael thanks the entire FPP family of staff, volunteers and listeners!

See you in 2012! Next show 1/1/2011 !
