Celebrate 10 Years of Film with the Film Photography Project!
We’re Planning a Year of New Products, Events and So Much More – Come Celebrate a Decade of Film Photography with the FPP, starting Today – Read On!
On October 15, 2019 the Film Photography Project turns 10, and we’re celebrating the only way we know how – by bringing you more podcasts, new affordable film products, expanded distribution, new recipients for our school camera donation program, another FPP weekend workshop and more! To kick things off, we’re offering a 10% discount on all items in the FPP online store (filmphotographystore.com) between 10am today October 15, 2019 and 10am tomorrow October 16, 2019 – discount code: birthday (at checkout). If you missed this special offer, please sign up for our e-mail newsletter right on the home page (so you don’t miss any future news and offers! ) But before we dig into all the exciting new, we’d like to acknowledge the reason behind our success: YOU. Thank you for your passion, enthusiasm and support of the FPP as we’ve evolved from a simple bi-weekly film podcast and online resource into producers of trusted, affordable still photography and motion picture films and movie scanning services!
We couldn’t have done it without you. In fact, it’s thanks to our early listeners who wrote in asking, “why don’t you carry film?” that we first launched the FPP e-commerce store…
But that’s a long story, and we’d rather dive right into some of the amazing things we have in store for FPP Year 10!
FPP Branded Products & New Partnership with Kodak
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Kodak, enabling the FPP to adapt specialty film formats not available in the Kodak catalog for consumer use! Stay tuned for details, as we expand our in-house and FPP branded product assortment to include these new and exclusive still and motion picture films consistent with our mission of affordability, recycled materials and minimalist packaging.
And on the topic of film, October saw the launch of the first in our new line of Monster Films – Dracula35 – just in time for Halloween.
(and rumor has it there’s some new at-home chemistry coming too…!)
Expanded Distribution
This year ushered in new domestic and international partnerships that will not only help place FPP products in your local camera store but also cut down on the cost of shipping. A great big thank you to Roberts Distributors and Analogue Wonderland in the UK for their support of the FPP and film photography!
School Camera Donation Program
This fall, three new organizations will receive cameras as part of our School Camera Donation Program! Keep an eye out for our new blogs highlighting how the instructors and students put their new gear into practice! Pictured above – Lake Ridge Middle School, Woodbridge, VA.
Help us continue to place cameras and gear into the hands of students by donating your vintage cameras, film or gear to the FPP – http://filmphotographyproject.com/donate/
Meet Up with the FPP at PDN
If you live in NYC or are traveling there for the PDN, join industry professionals and analog film enthusiasts at the Beer Authority October 24 from 7-11pm. Many of your favorite companies will have representatives on hand including Ilford, Intrepid Camera, The Darkroom and FPP founder, Michael Raso.
