The Hungry Dutchmen were a NYC based band most notable for having won MTV’s Basement Tapes Award in February 1987, with the video of their original song “Alone On A Saturday Night”.
The band played extensively in and around NYC from 1987 to 1989, and released a 12″ single “Lookin’ For Santa b/w Caught Unprepared”.

Meadowlands Showcase was cablecast into 1.7 million homes in New Jersey via The Cable Television Network of New Jersey (CTN) between the years 1988-1994. CTN had the distinction of being the only state wide cable service in America that serviced a whole state.
