My first "planned" 8x10 portrait of my grandpa, Ned. This image had a ridiculous subject brightness range, approx. 18 stops!!

Over the next 52 Weeks, I plan on shooting at least 1 roll of 120 film, processing it, scanning it, and uploading 3 images to this set to further explore the realm of film photography.

Awesome portrait, Mat. His expression is, well, beyond words.

What a result Mat, you've captured his character and goodness, look at the place he's in, an iconic general and family photo for the future!

I believe that I already sung this images praises on Flickr, but can't let it go by with additional comment. Simply superb environmental portrait, and one that I know has deep meaning for you personally. I wish I had your talent for photographing people.
